Being a 21st Century girl is tough! We are always on the go and that means we dont always have time to spend hours perfecting our look. These few products are small enough to fit in your make up bag, thrown in your day bag and can be applied on the go and touched up as and when you need, although they are all long lasting and never let me down through my day at work-and working in retail can get hot and stressful, if my make up can withstand that then it can withstand anything!

Happy Blogmas Day 8!

Today I am sharing my make up collection; how I sort it out and how I work out what I must have in my collection for Christmas and New Year. This gives me an idea of what I may need to get if my products are looking old or run out *think clumpy dry mascara, and scraping the pan eye shadows*.

Very SS18 Press Event-Whats In My Bag?

Yesterday, I was invited to London to preview the VERY.COM Spring Summer Home ware collection; #VERYSS18.

This meant I came away with a goodie bag packed full of jewellery, stationary, and beauty; from the likes of Cath Kidstone, NYX, and ChloBo. I wanted to share them all with you as I think they would make amazing stocking fillers or cute christmas gifts for friends.

Come with me: Tanya Burr Chocolate Box Studio Event

Yesterday was one of the most exciting days of this year.
I got up bright and early and headed off to Knightsbridge to the Tanya Burr Chocolate Box Studio in Harvey Nichols.

Once there, we were led in groups up to the 5th floor, where we entered into the beautiful and christmassy world of Tanya Burr Cosmetics. The room was done out beautifully, think insta worthy wall displays, a huge Tanya Burr advent Calendar and a TB light-box to get pictures with.

Stands with beautifully produced product displays, showing off the Christmas and Selfie Story ranges lined the outside of the room, whilst make up artist stands stood in the center, where we had our very own TB make over.

I will do a separate review of my goodie bag products and a break down of the ranges, but I will just comment on the longevity of these products, which is incredible. I had my make up done at about 10 am and it lasted all day, whilst I strolled London got the train and did obligatory shopping. It also took me on a night out last night too, with just a powder touch up!
Tanya also had her very own Truffle stand, with a gorgeous array of chocolate delights!

I was super lucky to make a friend in Carmen, whilst at the event, who I had so much in common with. I love finding like minded people and we laughed the morning away, and even had a cheeky look around Harvey Nichols afterwards, before going for coffee (think pumpkin spice flat white in pret).

I'm definitely one of those people who gets excited at the small things and trying the new pumpkin spice flat white in Pret was one of them. I was so pumped to try it and although I'm not sure it competes with the pumpkin spice latte from starbs, it was lovely.

I hope you enjoy a few photos from the day! Pop back Tuesday for my goodie bag review and a break down of the new Tanya Burr range!

Who do you wear make up for? Motivational Monday #3

The other day I was watching this video by Zanna Van Dijk and honestly if you havent checked out her videos then you need to they are amazing! In the video Zanna was talking about learning to love herself and finally feeling like she doesnt need to wear make up which I think is so important for us girls in modern society...we should never feel like we have to wear make-up!

This then got me thinking about why I wear make up and furthermore, who I wear make up for. I concluded that the reason I wear make-up is that it makes me feel good. I am obsessed with finding new brands and products and finding new ways of doing my make up, (reducing the amount of brands that test on animals in my collection, is a huge one for me right now). I feel ready for the day when I have applied make-up and a red lip always makes me feel like I can conquer the world.

However, I feel just as comfortable when I am not wearing make-up I will happily go for a run with no make up on my face what so ever and then go shopping afterwards, just as if its a sunday and I need something from the shop for one of my Sunday bakes I will happily walk up to the shop with no make up. I have no worries letting people in my flat see me with no make up on at night and in the mornings either.
I feel that wearing make-up in this way is healthy for me (and im in no way suggesting that my way is the best way). I feel happy that without thinking about it I wear make up for myself and no one else because I enjoy the process of choosing the products and playing with looks.
I definitely wasnt always this confident and used to wear concealer over any blemish when I was younger and apply a small amount of mascara, even going to the gym, as I didnt feel I looked old enough and wanted to look grown up.
After many years of people exclaiming over the fact I look about 8 years younger than I actually am I am totally used to this now and really couldn't care less!

I would be really interested to hear other peoples thoughts on this matter and to motivate you to consider: why do you wear make up or not wear make up, and who do you wear it for?
